Use the School tab in a staff record to view and manage key elements of staff information. It is important that the School tab is setup correctly for a staff record to feed information into other areas of iSAMS. E-mails and text messages sent via iSAMS also use information listed in this tab.
To add staff school details, follow the steps below:
- In the HR Manager module, select the Manage Staff tab:
- Search and select a staff record to work with and select the School tab:
Complete the School Association section. The fields available are explained below:
Field
Explanation
Boarding House
Select a Boarding House that the staff member is associated with. You can make multiple selections, if required.
Academic House
Select an Academic House that the staff member is associated with. You can make multiple selections, if required.
Teaching Staff
Select Yes if the staff member is a teacher. This enables a timetable to be created from the Timetable Manager Module.
Personal Tutor
Select Yes if the staff member is to be allocated a form group.
Part Time
Select Yes if the staff member works part time.
DfES Number
Enter the staff member's Department for Education number, if applicable.
School Division
Select a School Division that the staff member is associated with. Hold Ctrl to make multiple selections, if required.
- Either:
- Click Update Data to save the new data.
or - Click Reload Record to refresh the record with the last saved data.
- Click Update Data to save the new data.
- In School Room, enter the staff member's main teaching room or office.
- Complete the contact details. These must be completed for the staff member to receive e-mails and text messages via iSAMS.
- School Email Address.
- School Telephone No.
- School Mobile No.
- Use the Other School Contact field to list additional contact numbers or addresses. For example, a department e-mail address.
- Select the staff member's System Status from the drop down list. This indicates whether the staff member is an applicant or current member of staff.
- Either:
- Click Update Data to save the new data.
or - Click Reload Record to refresh the record with the last saved data.
- Click Update Data to save the new data.
