Configure network settings with iSAMS when setting up the system using the Network Configuration applet in Control Panel. You can input settings from your proxy server to work with iSAMS. Your proxy server can allow users to connect to iSAMS faster and let you regulate system access. You can also run network tests to check if your configuration is set up correctly.
To change your network configuration settings, follow the steps below:
- Select the Network Configuration applet from Control Panel.
The Network Configuration screen is displayed: - Complete the Network Proxy Properties section:
- Proxy IP Address. Specify the IP address for your proxy server.
- Proxy Port. Specify the port number for your proxy server.
- Bypass List. Specify IP addresses that you allow to bypass the proxy server.
- Input your proxy server's username and password in the Network Proxy Authentication section.
These credentials are used by iSAMS to connect to your proxy server. - Choose to test your network settings:
- Run External Network Tests. Check the proxy server connection by connecting to external websites, such as Google.
- Run Internal Network Tests. This function is currently not in use.
- Click Save Configuration when finished. To revert to previously saved settings, click Reload Configuration.
