Use the Re-Admission wizard in the Admissions module to revert current or former pupils back to applicants. This is useful for keeping the records of current pupils that have decided to defer their entry to your school. The wizard is also useful for restoring record information from former pupils that have reapplied for entry.
To enter current or former pupils as applicants, follow the steps below:
- In the Admissions module, select the Applicant tab.
- Click Routines.
- Click Re-Admission wizard.
Step 1 of the Re-Admission wizard is displayed: - Use the filters available to search for the current or former pupils you wish to revert to applicants. Narrow your search by surname, year group, form and boarding house. Hold Ctrl to make multiple selections in each filter box, if required.
- Check the boxes next to the pupils you wish to revert.
- Click Next Step.
Step 2 of the Re-Admission wizard is displayed: Use the drop down lists to specify Admissions Details for the selected pupils you wish to revert:
Field Explanation Admissions Status Select the pupil's current status in the admissions process. You can change this at a later date as the admissions process moves forward. School Year on Entry Select the academic year that the applicant is due to start at your school. Year on Entry Select the calendar year that the applicant is due to start at your school. Click Next Step.
A popup window is displayed. You are prompted Are you sure you want to add the selected students to re-admissions system?Click Yes.
Step 3 of the Re-Admission wizard is displayed to confirm that the pupils have been reverted to applicants.- Click Finish.
The pupil record is duplicated. One record shows the current pupil record and the duplicate shows the re-admissions record:
